The youth
ministry at Redemption
Baptist Church is vibrant,
diverse and
challenging. We minister to
young people from Middle
School to university,
from adolescence to early
adulthood.
Purpose
The purpose of the Youth
Ministry is twofold,
targeting the young people
and
their parents. It seeks to:
1. Evangelize and disciple
young people to apply
Christian principles in
every area
of their lives (II Tim. 2:2).
2. Equip and support
parents in their biblical
responsibility of raising
their children for the Lord
(Mal. 4:7). Parents carry
the primary Biblical
mandate to teach their
children (Deut. 6:6-7; Eph.
6:4). By supporting them
in their parenting role, the
church seeks to promote a
positive influence on
the young people.
Regular activities:
1. Wednesday evening-Youth
Group meets each Wednesday
evening from 7:30 to
9:30. The evening starts
with games and fellowship
(basketball, table
games, video games, etc.)
followed by Bible study,
where we meditate on a
portion of the Scriptures,
in search of practical
applications for today's
youth; we break in small
groups for discussions
around the Bible lesson. We
close our meeting with
refreshments.
2. Youth Sunday Service-We
also hold Youth Sunday
worship services at least
twice a month (the 3rd and
4th Sundays of the month),
from 11:00 to 12:45. Young people take
responsibility for serving
and leading these services.
Special activities:
Several special activities
are planned throughout the
year-ice skating
parties, all-nighter events,
youth rallies, revival
meetings, etc. These
special events are planned
and announced on our
Wednesday Youth Group
meetings.
